Oldies but Goodies!

so i was in freeport for the weekend which was uneventful but perfect. i saw friends and just hung out with my family a lot. i am also having a BBQ & Sangria party with my roommate this Thursday. i feel like it's been the highlight of my week and it hasn't even happened yet! (actually i've been looking forward to it for much longer than the past week. you could probably say it's been the highlight of my whole spring!) anyways, when i was back home i snagged this 10 cd box set of my dad's called "Hotdogs, Hits, & Happy Days." it's (obviously) a box cd of oldies tunes. SO, needless to say, i'm super psyched about it and am currently downloading them into my itunes. from there i will be condensing the "good" songs onto a oldies mixed cd for the party. i can't wait! you can definitely expect "Iko Iko" from the Dixie Cups (love it!) and lots from the Four Seasons. :) .........sidenote, i really regret not seeing "Jersey Boys" last year......bummer.

anyways, it's kind of weird how small our world seems sometimes. for the 2nd time now that i've lived in the city i've ran into this girl from my highschool who apparently lives right around the corner from me. it's always really odd, but more so humbling when i happen to run into people i know in such a large city. it's happened a handful of times now.
